We are back to reality now but wanted to let you know that we had an absolutely fabulous time on Pender Island. We thoroughly enjoyed your home and exploring the surrounding area. On behalf of my family, brother and wife, and my parents we want to share with you that your house and property are magnificent! We were blessed with 7 straight days of sunshine which only made it more magnificent. My wife loved the open floor plan and really worked well in bringing us all together for a week. The great room with the 2 recliners are perfect to enjoy the tranquil mornings and late evening views. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and house tidy and very clean.
Your excellent handbook covered every facet and notes in the house allowed us to quickly answer any questions. One activity which was enjoyed by my kids especially was searching the tidal pools at Gowlland Point at low tide. Turning over the rocks gently was always an adventure finding things such as brittle stars, and prickle backs. It was amazing how many sunflower stars we caught and no crabs in some places. For your info - on your side of the bay, 2 bays over, I caught 16 crabs once in our mesh crab trap. It seemed to do better than the metal traps since they could not escape as easy. In low tide the boys caught many rock crabs (and many legal size so we could keep them) straight off the dock with some butterfly nets, lots of shiners, perch and bullheads too.
